My Amatuer Radio (ham radio) call sign is KE0UZC, I am currently a General class operator.
I have been licensed since February of 2019, when I obtained my Technician class. I got my General ticket in June of that same year.
I am not as active now as I was when I first got into the hobby. I learned this hobby can take a lot of time, and while I am transistioning from Active Duty military service back into the civilian life, I have not had much time to get on the air.
I have three tranceivers that I like to operate on, all being Kenwood brand.
My favorite radio out of them would have to be the TM-D710GA. This radio lives in my truck, a 2013 Chevy 3500. This radio preforms my day to day communications with friends in the local area, as well as digital communications using the APRS standard.
For HF I have a TS-480SAT. This radio covers frequencies from 160m thru 6m. At some point in the near futre this radio will also be mounted in the truck, giving me both local and long distance communication capabilities in a mobile platform.
At home I have a modified TM-281 that covers the 2m band. I modified this radio to be able to transmit via a computer, so that I can take advantage of a base station APRS rig.
This page will be continued to be updated with more information as I learn more in this hobby.
